Prison Work Camp

The Prison camp is a town of its own on Isla Sombra, and it is where you end up after a militia raid catches you or you lose a fight to militia (see Wanted Level, Militia Raids & Arrests). You work off your sentence with chores that pay in Labour cards, or find another way out. Police arrests are handled separately, and the raid setting in Cartel Settings & Difficulty Presets changes how reachable the camp is.

The Camp works questline

Seven tasks make up the Camp works questline. Talking to the guard starts it and also opens the "find a way out" task. Each task gives cartel experience.

Chores and recipes

The camp chores are ordinary crafting recipes: bake bread in two steps, and wash prison uniforms. Ingredient amounts are as stored (substances in grams, items as counts). See Crafting Recipes.

The item description says Labour cards are collected in exchange for work at the camp. The tables do not say which chore pays how many cards.

Labour cards and your sentence

ItemStack sizeWeightDescription
Labour card5005 gA card that can be collected in exchange for work at Isla Sombra Work Camp.

The last task, Bring cards to the guard, says that delivering good labor cards reduces your sentence. The prison controller keeps a sentence-card count and a bailout amount for every imprisoned player, plus a prison-break timer of 1,800 seconds (30 min) to return to prison. The sentence length, the card cost and the bailout amount are worked out in script and are not in the tables. The Loss multiplier cartel setting scales fines and bailouts.

The camp as a market

Weed1.1350B2,800
Amphetamine1.1300B3,500
Meth1.1550B4,500
Opium1.1200B3,500

The camp town has its own drug demand for these four drugs, and clients expect an average potency of 0.65. The tables do not state the unit of the default price entries. A developer hint says you can smuggle drugs in to serve the camp's clients, but that hint text is not referenced by the hint table. See Drugs & Drug Economy.

Prison clothing

The camp has its own prison clothing, marked as camp property and not sold in any shop: Prison cap, Prison top, Prison pants, Prison slippers. Their stats are on Clothing & Apparel.

Not found in the game files

The tables do not give the sentence length, how many cards each chore or the guard exchange is worth, the bailout amount, or the guard dialogue. Whether a prison break has other consequences is decided in script.
