This policy covers the Eddie Discord bot and this website, both operated for the Drug Dealer Simulator community. It describes exactly what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how you can switch it off or have it erased.
Message content. The text of messages sent in channels the bot monitors, along with the author's Discord ID and username, the channel, and attachment metadata. Edits and deletions are recorded with the before and after content so moderators can review context during an appeal.
Membership events. Joins, leaves, nickname and role changes, and which invite link a member joined on.
Account information. Your Discord user ID, username and avatar. If you sign in to this website, these are supplied by Discord's OAuth2 and nothing else is requested.
Engagement data. XP, levels, message counts and reaction statistics used for leaderboards.
Presence. Your online status and current activity are read live to power go-live stream alerts, online member counts, and the anonymous /topgames summary. Presence is never written to our database — it is read from Discord's live connection, used, and discarded.
Logged message content and attachment records are automatically deleted after 30 days. This is enforced by the database itself, not by a manual clean-up, so it happens whether or not the bot is running.
Moderation records — warnings, timeouts, bans and appeals — are kept for as long as the community operates. These are safety records rather than activity logs; keeping them is what stops a banned account simply rejoining. Aggregate statistics that cannot identify an individual may also be kept indefinitely.
You can control this yourself from inside Discord. No request or staff involvement is needed.
/privacy status — see your current settings and how many records we hold about you/privacy optout — stop the bot storing your message content, your presence, or both. This takes effect immediately./privacy optin — re-enable storage/privacy delete — erase the message content already stored about you, straight awayWhat opting out does not change. Messages are still checked for phishing links, spam and invite advertising as they arrive. Those checks are instantaneous and retain nothing, but they cannot be disabled — otherwise opting out would be the simplest way to bypass moderation entirely. Existing moderation records are also retained, for the reason given above. Moderators can still act on rule-breaking regardless of your settings.
Data is stored in a MongoDB database on a private server operated by the community administrators. It is not hosted with a third-party analytics or advertising provider.
We use Discord's OAuth2 for authentication on this website. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties.
Artificial intelligence. Message content collected by the bot is never sent to any AI or machine-learning service, and is never used to train a model. The bot's optional /ask and /suggest commands send text to OpenAI, but only the text you type into that command yourself, together with public wiki content. They never read channel history.
The fastest route is /privacy delete in Discord, which acts immediately. You can also contact a server administrator, and we will process the request within 30 days. Deletion covers logged message and attachment content; moderation records are retained as described above.
Discord requires users to be at least 13, or older where local law sets a higher age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe we have, contact an administrator and it will be removed.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date above will change and the change will be announced in the Discord server.
For privacy questions or requests, contact the server administrators through the DDS Discord server.
